Friendships

Friend  are so important, without them in your life you feel lost and alone. I have friends that are near and friends that are far and all of them i couldn't do without...but i do wish that some that are so far were just a little bit closer!
So i was glad when Heather returned from her long trip to the US of A. Having her close by is a blessing that i am very thankful for. She was the one that introduced me to Anna, and without either of them my weekends would be much more lonely and not as much fun. Anna said thatby having us as friends she got more than she hoped for her Tilly (or words to that effect). She's right, i mean isn't it amazing that i meet two people who raise their kids in a similar fashion to myself and have kids that are the same age. Lili is just a week younger than Sarah and Tilly is four months younger but it makes less and less difference as time goes by and shortly (if not now) you'd never know. Its so great for the girls to have friends that are the same age as them rather than them always being around adults. kids need to be kids and grow up with other little ones around them. And we need adults that understand that you will not get to see much of the zoo, it will take 30 mins to walk up a hill that should take 5, that kids will have a fit when they are hungry, that they will poop or pee themselves without a nappy on....ect...

Last week before the typhoon hit Taiwan we all went to the zoo: Anna with Tilly, Heather and YaYa with Nykolas, Mia, Lili and Me with Sarah.
It was hetic and a bit wet but fun none the less. The kids were so sweet together and the little ones were finally intersted in the animals...yep Sarah, Tilly and Lili all looked at the animals, i think for the first time. normally Sarah don't care if there is anything  there or not but this time its like someone turned on the lights and they all looked to see what was going on, and weren't too happy when we wanted to move to the next place. Sarah saw a huge (really huge) cow/bull and looked with her head to one side and said "doggie?" Wow its a pretty massive doggie, i told her no it's a cow and she seemed pleased with that answer and moved on. However most of the animals were either doggies or meow meows...i tried to tell her some of the names but some of them i didn't even know, so they were just generic like "monkey" "mouse" ect...even if it was lemur or a vole...they all look the same if your 1! Its better than just cat or dog.
We stopped and all ate pie..mia didn't really want to but everyone else kids and adults alike were glad to have a pie break. Everyone mocked me for having so much stuff, i like to be prepared you know....the truth is i am so disorganised i can't sort out what i really need to bring along and what i can do without. Nevertheless many of the things i did have came in handy that day. including ice (iced water by the time i used it) i had for the pie that was then used on Sarah's head as she fell over whist hugging Lili..she just has so much love to give she doesn't quite no when to stop.

How happy is Nykolas? so cute right
